Making Jongwon Baek makgeolli bread and sweet pumpkin liquor bre
A snack of memories that can be made simply with makgeolli and flour :)

Cooking Steps
STEP 1/21
Two cups of makgeolli in a bowl!
STEP 2/21
a cup of sugar
STEP 3/21
Cut a spoonful of salt and put it in.
STEP 4/21
Stir well with a whisk to dissolve the sugar and salt.
STEP 5/21
Add 4 1/2 cups of flour to makgeolli mixed with salt and sugar.

Mix lightly with a spatula.
STEP 7/21
Break 2 eggs and put them in.
STEP 8/21
Mix the egg and dough with a spatula to blend well.
STEP 9/21
The lumps of flour didn't work out well, so I changed it to a whisk in the middle.
You can make it a little easier if you stir it with a whisk :)

When the lump of flour is completely melted, the dough is complete!
Put it in a warm place with plastic or plastic wrap and ferment it for 2-3 hours.
I put it in the oven like this and ferment it for 2 hours at 40 degrees.

Wash the sweet pumpkin clean and slice it thinly.

It's after two hours of fermentation. If there are bubbles on the surface of the dough and the dough becomes sticky and swells, it is fermented well.

Add the chopped sweet pumpkin and drained corn to the dough.

Mix the dough with a spatula so that the ingredients mix the ingredients.

Place wet cotton cloth or paper foil on a steamer.
I made a 21cm diameter mousse ring with paper foil.

Pour the dough into a mold.

When the water boils in the pot, lower the heat to medium and place the steamer on top. You can steam it for 20 to 30 minutes.
STEP 18/21
After 20 minutes, poke the middle with chopsticks to see if the dough is coming out. The dough is still undercooked.
STEP 19/21
I closed the lid again and steamed it for another 15 minutes. If the dough doesn't come out of the chopsticks, it's all cooked!

The dough swelled up as it cooked. With sweet pumpkin, the color is pretty and the taste is good.

Cut the finished liquor bread into bite-size pieces.
It's good to cut it like this and eat it, but I think it's best to open it with your hands.

* It's measuring paper cups *I used a 21cm mousse ring for the tool. * You have to use raw makgeolli for makgeolli. (We use makgeolli instead of yeast, so you have to put in makgeolli to ferment it. Please check before purchasing) * Sugar is very sweet because I put in both recipes. Add little by little and adjust according to your preference. * Add the ingredients to the bread, such as beans, red beans, raisins, and corn, to your taste and make makgeolli bread with various flavors :)
