Cheonhyehyang jam. Imitating Kaya jam from my coffee friends. a
Tangerine kaya jam comes out in Coffee Friends that I've been enjoying these days. They say that it's so good to grill French toast with tangerine kaya jam. Kaya jam is Singapore's representative jam. It's made with coconut, egg, and jumbo leaves. Coffee Friends made tangerines instead of judgment leaves. I made cheonhyehyang kaya jam with cheonhyehyang in my house. It tastes a little different from jam cooked with only sugar. It tastes like something I never thought of. [Laughing] It doesn't feel like jam? It's like sauce... It's not very sweet, but it tastes better with coconut scent. I think it's because I made it with Cheonhyehyang, but it also has a bit of a bitter taste. When I go home today, I'll buy bread and bake French toast on weekends and try it with cheonhyehyang kaya jam. And next time, I'll try making tangerines again. I wonder what tangerine kaya jam tastes like.

  • Cheonhyehyang of heaven
    3ea
  • Coconut milk
    250ml
  • Coconut sugar
    50g
  • Sugar
    40g
  • egg
    4ea
  • Salt
    1/2ts
Cooking Steps
STEP 1/9
Please change the rest of the ingredients except Cheonhyehyang.
(Coconut milk, coconut sugar, sugar, egg yolk, salt)
I don't have a blender, so I ground it in a blender. I think it'll be more comfortable if there's a blender.
STEP 2/9
. Place the ground ingredients in a mixing bowl and double-hot, stirring for about 20 minutes.
In a pot smaller than a mixing bowl, place water over a fire to form bubbles, reduce the heat to low when warm before boiling and place the mixing bowl on top. Stir well and heat for about 20 minutes.
STEP 3/9
Peel tangerines or cheonhyehyangs and grind them finely while they are in hot water.
STEP 4/9
I put it down on a sieve and didn't use any ingredients.
I think it's okay to grind it finely and add the ingredients... I just put it on a sieve and just put the juice in it.
STEP 5/9
Add Cheonhyehyang or tangerine juice to the medium heat for about 20 minutes and boil it down for about an hour.
The time to boil down can vary depending on the state of boil down. It took a little longer because I put in four cheonhyehyangs.
STEP 6/9
This is the critical moment. You have to keep stirring and boil it down, so you might sigh.[Laughing]
I didn't do anything wrong because I couldn't do it? That's what I thought.
STEP 7/9
If you boil it down for about an hour, it's like this. It's not very thick... When you scratch the floor, you can see the floor and then cover it...
It gets thicker when it cools down. If you feel it's a little bit thicker than you want, it'll be in perfect condition when it cools down.
STEP 8/9
It's a cheonhyehyang jam with a strange charm.
I heard that it's better to make this cheonhyehyang kaya jam and eat it within 7 days, so I think it's better not to make a lot at once. The cooking time is a little boring, so I want to mass-produce it and eat it, but I also made a small amount. I would have made more if I could keep it for a long time...
STEP 9/9
I personally really like Cheonhyehyang. It's a bit different from tangerines. I like it because it has a slightly bitter taste and a fragrant scent.
I could feel another charm when I made it into jam. Whether it's tangerine kaya jam or Cheonhyehyang kaya jam, that's good..^^ Sweet scent.
