Cooking Steps
STEP 1/2
Mix the spice juice, sugar, brewed soy sauce, and pepper to make the sauce in advance.
Cut the beef skewer about 2cm longer than the length of the tteokbokki and marinate it in the sauce for more than an hour.
Blanch tteokbokki rice cakes in boiling water until they are soft and rinse them in cold water.
Mix blanched rice cakes with oil mixed with sesame oil, soy sauce, cooking oil, and sugar.
STEP 2/2
Put rice cake and beef on the skewer alternately. Grease a pan heated over medium heat with cooking oil and grill sanjeok back and forth until golden brown. Make pine nuts and sprinkle them on the sanjeok before serving.
It is good to cut the rice cake longer than the length of the rice cake in preparation for the meat to shrink as it is grilled. Mushrooms, green onions, etc. are delicious, but it's not good to see after baking. Rice cakes are made with rice tteokbokki from the mill, which looks good and tastes good.
